The final of estivali i Këngës, the Albanian national selection for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, was won by Rona Nishliu tonight. The singer, who was born in Mitrovica, Kosovo, will represent Albania in Baku with her song Suus.

The Russian local broadcaster RTR has announced the selection rules of applying for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku. The submission period has already started. So all interested musicians are welcome to send in their songs and lyrics. The Russian national Final will take place on the 26th of February.

Tonight, at 20:30 CET, the final of Festivali i Këngës will take place. The winner, who will be selected out of 20 acts, will go on to represent Albania in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest. You can watch the show live on the RTSH website!
Last night, ten songs qualified from the first semi final of the 50th Festival I ëngës in Albania. Tonight, a further ten songs have now made it to the grand final which will take place on December 29th.
Serbian broadcaster RTS have been busy promoting eljko Joksimović in the last month, ahead of his participation in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku.
